Welcome, step into Danirasa Foundation, where women's empowerment is stitched and woven into every seam of our programs. At Danirasa, we uplift and empower women from all walks of life.  We foster self-sufficiency and independence among women with needs through two vital programs: tailoring classes and our community kitchen initiative. Empowering women with skills can promote equal rights and drive more opportunities in a society where their voices are heard and valued.

Community kitchen
Because no one should go hungry
Danirasa Kitchen was established in 2017 in Pattabiram, Chennai, starting with a modest 400 sq. ft. space. By the end of 2023, it had expanded significantly to a spacious 5000 sq. ft. The community kitchen is one of our flagship initiatives. The primary motive of the project is to provide nutritious meals to people in need. We have already delivered more than 37 Lakhs of meals.  The constant contribution of our donors, partners, and volunteers is helping us in achieving our motive. We have our experts and mega kitchen equipment, supplementing us to deliver high-quality food prepared in a clean and hygienic environment. And the meals are delivered on time in all circumstances.
Tailoring classes
Imparting skill and fostering entrepreneurship
The main objective of the tailoring classes of Danirasa Foundation is to create a more practical economic opportunity for widows and destitute women living below the poverty line. We offer Tailoring skills to women free of cost. Although it is free, the quality is not compromised since the trainings are offered by professionally trained tailoring masters. On successful completion, the students are recognized and offered course completion certificates. Based on the certificates and acquired skills, women may start their own tailoring shops, get a job in any large tailoring shop, or get placed with any garment factory. Self-reliant and financially stable women can alleviate poverty, and help support their family with independence.

In the aftermath of the floods, many families, including gated communities, were struggling to put food on the table. We are immensely grateful for the timely and compassionate response of your organisation in providing food support to those in need. The essential food items have been a lifeline for families during this difficult time. Not only has it alleviated the immediate
burden of hunger, but it has also brought a sense of hope and solidarity to our community as we work together to rebuild and recover.
